Among the features are:
Built-in setup assistance for CMT and BC managers
The setup assistance helps admin users to appoint the CMT, setup Emergency Operations Centers, establish alarm routines, create mobilization plans, adapt the CMT´s meeting agendas, schedule BC plans and other documents for updates, edit press release templates and other essential tasks.
Activate and manage BC plans
All mobilization and contingency plans are fully flexible. Plans may be activated, then changed and edited in real-time as the crisis progresses. The plans lead the Crisis Management Team step by step through all response and recovery tasks. All logged on users can see which activities have been completed, when they were completed, by whom and what remains to be done.
Advanced emergency notification system
Crisis Commander Alert is an add-on module intended for the emergency notification of all CMT personnel, other Emergency Response and Recovery teams, employees, vendors and any other contact list. CC Alert distributes voice messages to any land line or mobile phone in the world. SMS messages, E-mail and fax messages are supplementary alert modes. SMS and E-mail are the Basic notification modes included in all Crisis Commander systems.
Unlimited storage for contact lists
You may create or import contact lists for external resources such as government agencies, city councils, airports, fire departments, embassies, coast guard, banks, airlines etc. Media contact lists allow you to pre-define key media contacts, and enable rapid communications with the Media during a crisis. Crisis Commander also enables you to monitor media coverage of the incident. Since Crisis Commander is Web-based, the communications features work even when the client’s IT environment in not operational.
Automatic activity log
Every action completed in Crisis Commander is automatically logged with a time and date stamp in the central Log. The Log provides a detailed record of what actions where taken, when and by whom. The Crisis Management Team´s time is then available to carry out more critical tasks.
Data analysis and filtering feature
The automated log enables the team to analyze and filter all incoming data. This process insures that critical items are addressed by the Crisis Management Team´s decision makers.
Built-in emergency web page with update feature
Each Crisis Commander system comes with a built-in crisis home page outside the client´s IT-environment, enabling the CMT to inform and update staff and the public. These crisis home pages are typically used as a communications tool during an incident and require minimal computer literacy to update.
Meeting tool with pre-set or dynamic agendas
The system meeting tool enables teams to create pre-set, flexible agendas for CMT meetings to improve meeting effectiveness. All meeting agendas are fully flexible; they may be activated, changed and edited in real-time. All minutes taken and decisions made during the meeting are logged with a time and date stamp.
Bulletin board for the CMT
The Crisis Commander Forum is typically used as a CMT bulletin board. The Forum is also used to coordinate activities during large incidents and training exercises.
System interface for access via PCs and smartphones
Crisis Commander is accessible by PC via the world wide web and by mobile devices such as Blackberry, Treo, Pocket PC and other web-enabled mobile devices. All devices must have a web browser with SSL encryption to encrypt the communication between the device and the Crisis Commander system.
